WOAH! I can't believe we're already at 433 project followers!! Thank youuu!!! I'm still hard at work getting the campaign ready, finishing as much artwork as I can and finishing up the trailer in time for Thursday's launch.
 
Today I got all three froggies finished up and I thought they were worthy of a campaign update!!



AND I am excited to reveal one of the campaign add-ons, the forager woven tag keychain!!

I've made two of these before which you can check out here! The woven fabric really brings out all the little details and I can't wait to see these made! :)

Ahhhh!! We're so close to launch!! We are at 380 follows on the launch page - that's amazing thank you so much! I wanted to share the artwork for the enamel pins and freebie sticker! I know most of my audience here on Backerkit are with me for the pins!!

I am so excited about these pin designs, I think they're going to be beautiful in person!! They will both be hard enamel, just about 2" with screen-printed details and clear enamel for the beetle wings! :) The freebie sticker will be printed on semi-matte permanent vinyl and has all the wonderful watercolour textures like the artwork on the box art.

All is very busy in the Frog Tree studio, getting ready for the launch is just two weeks!!! My main focus at the moment is finishing up all of the card artwork. Below is a look at some of the original cards from Forage (2019) and how they're looking now for Underleaf (2025)!

If you're not familiar, Forage is the reason I created Frog Tree Games in 2019 and Underleaf is both a remaster and a rework of that original game that I didn't formally publish. It was available for a very small time on the Game Crafter. It's pretty fun for me to finally circle back and make it a real game with a SKU!!!

Something I've found as primarily a merch artist is that large, composed full art pieces require a whole different process! Often I'll need to restart works from scratch to create something I'm happy with. Underleaf is a hugely important project for me and I knew I could push the box art further - leading me to the reveal of the updated box art and logo design!



Here's a little side by side before and after. : ) If all goes to plan the logos, beetle and frog will have a shiny spot gloss finish! I wanted to align the more realistic style I have taken with the cards with the box art to make the whole package more cohesive.

Hello!! Welcome to my first pre-campaign Underleaf update! I've been working really hard over the past few weeks finishing up the artwork, collecting game reviewers, polishing the box design and I wanted to share a little bit of what I've done as well as share some of the process!

Below is a look at the back of the box of the Demo/Review Copy, so the artwork and design is very much not final. It does give you a first look at the sketches for the artwork as well as some of the components!
There are over 20 unique card illustrations to complete and I'm super excited to share them in future updates as I complete them!!



Thank you so much to the over 200 people who have already followed the teaser page!! You're amazing!! Frog Tree began five years ago as an indie board game publisher and while it took me a little while to get back to it, I'm so excited to bring Underleaf to life with you all. : )
